  • To associate data rows with headers, table headers (TH tag) should be used. Thus screen reader users will access available data properly.
  • Statistics on records in tabular data should be provided. This includes: The total number of records, how many pages the table spans across, and the number of records per page.
  • An option to change the number of records per page may be provided.
  • Alternating rows colors may be used to enhance information display.
  • Sorting functionality should be provided on applicable columns.
  • Other features that manipulate data may be provided, such as: filtering, searching, highlighting and exporting the data to other usable standard formats (such as Excel, Word, etc.) for database searches in some specific cases.
