Footer Menus

A brief outline of the site navigation structure should be provided in the footer area of the government website, including the first and second levels of navigation. The goal of these links is to give an overview to the overall content of the website.
Quick links to the important sections of the site should also be added in the footer. Both the site outline and the quick links will not only give users an overview of the structure (helping them browse the site quickly without using the sitemap link); but it also improves the visibility of the site in search engines, a process known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
