Lebanese government websites should ensure availability of information to the general public with minimal interruption, while allowing users to easily identify that the website they are accessing is an official website of the government of Lebanon. Privacy of submitted personal data should not be compromised in order to build general public confidence when dealing with a legitimate and trustworthy government entity. Security threats, software code vulnerability, the use of sensitive data amongst other topics should be handled carefully to avoid any unscrupulous actions as per the security recommendations provided within the Web Standards and Guidelines specifications.
